Adam Barlow

Adam is a UK-born actor who has garnered recognition for his portrayal of lead characters and notable supporting roles in multiple short films of which include ‘What Now?’, ‘Dog’s Eye’, ‘Monstera’, ‘Nuages’ and ‘Solitary’. Most recently, his portrayal of Eddie in the stage production of 'Hurlyburly’ was received to acclaim.

Adam grew up in the city of Wolverhampton and acted incessantly in school plays and local productions across the West Midlands. Ignoring suggestions to pursue a career in acting, it took him nearly a decade of distraction and misdirection to finally heed this advice. He is now studying for a BA in Acting at Catalyst – Institute for Creative Arts and Technology.

Adam’s desire to seek fulfilment, find presence, meaningfully examine and intimately connect with the world and the people within it, has led him to perform a number of diverse and impactful roles spanning a broad range of genres from Action, Abstract, Musicals, Drama, Romance, Crime, Science Fiction and Thriller.
Adam maintains a keen interest in screenwriting and has had the opportunity to direct and write short films and collaborate with people from across the world. Underpinning all of this, is his aspiration to live a life where he meaningfully contributes to the world through creating and inspiring himself and others to listen, feel, think, see, question, experience, connect, escape and explore.

Prior to becoming an actor, Adam’s life was an eclectic one, filled with a colourful array of experiences and an equally diverse group of people that has shaped his identity. Amongst other things, he holds an MA degree from the University of Cambridge, has founded a chocolate company, held all manner of odd jobs, cared for his terminally ill father, spent months in the Amazon rainforest and bought and repaired an old 80s American Dodge RV and Harley Davidson in order to live in and travel around Europe. 5 years ago, he relocated to Berlin where, inevitably, he returned to his first love, acting.
